I’m planning to start a Tabletop Roleplaying Game in the Kingdoms of Kalamar Campaign Setting.

I started collecting the first books for this Campaign Setting since 2003. And started with Tabletop Role Playing Games with some friends from high school in the year 2000 when Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition came out. Before that time I was already familiar with AD&D 2nd edition.

The first RPG Board game I played when I was 7 years old was Hero Quest in 1990.

I played Computer Role Playing Games like Mystic Quest from 1991 (on the Game Boy) and Diablo (with friends online). Those friends also played Baldur’s Gate and Never Winter Knights.
I also liked playing Tactical Computer Games, which tells a little about my background as a Gamer. Maybe you know some of the Games I played: Dune II, Command & Conquer, KKnD, Starcraft, Warcraft III, Age of Empires, Age of Wonders, Heroes of Might and Magic IV, Knights and Merchants, Populous: The beginning, Pax Imperia and Siv City Rome).
I bought a Warhammer 40K Eldar Craftworld Army, but I never played or even finished building and painting it.

I’m planning to play by the HackMaster Basic Rules System (or HM 5th Edition) instead of Dungeons & Dragons 3th or 4th Edition.
The reason for that is that the Kingdoms of Kalamar Campaign is now the official Setting for HackMaster. They just released the Hacklopedia of Beasts, which is a book full of monsters, which shows in which region of the map you can encounter them.
The Campaign Setting has also an Atlas which shows the relief, forests, lakes, rivers and the location of smaller towns and larger cities in great detail.
And there are a lot of pre-constructed adventures from where to start an adventure or to explore.

I’m searching for RPG Player’s in my local neighborhood who would like to join this Campaign.

I have a (medium size) collection of LEGO Minifigures as a representation for the characters which I would like to use as a tool for showing the distance between characters and the ability to take cover in the terrain if possible during the combat scenes in certain game sessions.
My collection consists of enough other pieces to create challenging surroundings and there are even doorways that lead into dangerous dungeons or maybe rooms inside mysterious Towers and Castles.
